Give a brief description of your personality: Gah, I hate having to describe it! O_O; Let's see: I'm very determined and stubborn. Once I set my mind to a goal, I don't stop until I finish it. I like helping people out for the most part, but I don't like feeling like I'm being taken advantage of. I'm also very independent, which I think can be both a good and a bad thing since it means I don't rely on others, even if I might need to. I'm told I'm funny, but my humor falls more in the "sarcastic" category so I'm sure there are others who disagree. I can get jealous easily and I don't trust people very readily. Even the people I'm closest to I don't trust fully. It takes a lot to get me mad, but once I've reached a "boiling point" I tend to get REALLY angry and I find it really hard to forgive someone who has made me mad. I also have this tendency to keep my inner thoughts and feelings inside without voicing them.

List some of your positive traits: Determined/Hard-Working, curious, independent, helpful/loyal (to those I can respect and/or care for, at any rate), humorous ...well, depends on who you talk to. O_O;
... and some of your negative traits: Untrusting, jealous, unforgiving, indecisive, independent (I consider this both a positive and negative trait of mine. It's positive in that I can handle things on my own and I look out for myself...it's negative because I feel like relying on others is a weakness, even in cases when it's obvious I need to {like when I'm stressed out for taking too much on myself}. I won't ask for help even when I need it because I rely too much on myself and not enough on others. I'm working on that too though).

What are your interests?: I love listening to music, dancing, reading, making not-so-great graphics, watching TV/movies, playing video games, relaxing by just hanging out with friends and family, etc.
... and your dislikes?: Mean/rude people, when people get into my personal space (I HAVE A PERSONAL SPACE BUBBLE, I DO!), and when people always make assumptions about things without actually knowing anything about them.

Are you more...

Outgoing or Reserved: I'm shy for about ten minutes when I'm first meeting someone, but I can't stay that way for long! I find silence really uncomfortable and unnerving, so I will always try to start conversations to fill the void, hehe. :D Although, I'm sort of reserved when it comes to "deep" things, like inner-thoughts/feelings. I tend to keep those to myself unless I feel really comfortable with the person I'm talking to.
Energetic or Calm: Haha, I'm about to not be very helpful, but it honestly depends on the situation! If I'm at work or doing something that really requires my focus, then I'm extremely calm...but, if it is something I'm excited about, I can get pretty energetic (also, it depends on my caffeine intake! O_O;).
Cautious or Impulsive: ...It depends on what I might want. I am way more likely to be impulsive and jump into something without thinking *if* I'm already excited about it, but if it isn't something that I'm all that interested in I take a few more moments and try to approach it cautiously.
Stoic or Emotional: I don't like putting myself in places where my emotions are really visible or I start to feel vulnerable, so I have this tendency to keep all my thoughts and feelings inside unless I really trust someone or just can't keep them bottled up any longer (yes, as cliche as it sounds, I do wear a "mask" so to speak)...but, I'm not 100% sure that "stoic" is the right word for it. I've never considered myself that way before, honestly. While I may not voice my emotions all the time, I do feel them pretty deeply...but I'm not sure if that qualifies me as "emotional" either. Geez, I really am not helpful today, am I? O_o
Peaceful or Aggressive: More like laid-back? I'm not really super peaceful, but I'm not aggressive in that I'm going out of my way for fights either. If there's a goal I'm aiming for, I *will* go after it pretty aggressively.
Confident or Insecure: Outwardly confident, inwardly horribly insecure/doubtful. Despite how I may appear really driven and confident on the outside, most of the time on the inside I am full of doubts and fear. Like I've mentioned before, I just don't like vocalizing that kind of stuff unless I'm around someone I can really trust.
Leader or Follower: I prefer to follow, honestly...but, I usually get stuck with leadership positions. Still, I'd rather lead than follow if no one else is going to! I have to really respect someone if they're going to try and lead me, lolz. If I think an individual besides myself can handle the leadership job well, I'm all for offering my support instead.
Optimistic, Pessimistic, or Realistic: Realistic, I would say. I don't think the world is made of puppies and rainbows, but I don't think it is out to get you either. Everything is just...what it is to me.
Traditional or Unconventional: Uh...I don't think either is extreme is great, honestly. I can't picture myself being defined by one or the other...if I like some kind of mindset, I like it. It doesn't register to me as being traditional or unconventional. I'm probably more inclined to lean towards a middle-ground of sorts.

You've been enlisted into the Grey Wardens! A life of being bound to fight monsters... How would you feel about this? Not great, probably! O_o I'm all for fighting monsters if they're threatening people, but I don't think I'd want to be "bound" to it and not be given the option of doing something else.

After joining, would you feel it necessary to focus almost entirely on your duties when the world is being threatened? Or would you rather try to have fun when you can? ...That's a tough call. :/ I can't really have fun if the world is destroyed (and I like having fun!), so I'd probably try to focus on my duties first-and-foremost.

Do you prefer to experience new things or stick with what you know? Experience new things! Although I'm the first to admit that there's a kind of security and comfort to sticking with what you know, I think I'd still prefer to experience new things and learn about the world.

You get attacked by a group of bandits, and upon defeat they claim they were only trying to provide for their families. What do you do with them? I'd let them go, probably. What can I say? I'm kind of a sucker for sob stories. I'd probably just tell them that I hope they'd try to provide for their families a little bit more honorably in the future (and maybe give them some food if I have some to spare).

After going through multiple dungeons and fighting countless battles, you discover that the ally you did all of this for really just wanted more power. They even plan to sacrifice those they consider incapable of being saved in the process! You did go this far for them, and they will undoubtedly be a powerful ally against your enemies threatening the whole world, but... Can you allow them to continue? No. Even if they'd prove to be a powerful ally...I don't think I could readily work with someone who would so easily sacrifice those they view as incapable. Who are they to judge something like that...and what would stop them from deciding that my allies (and myself included!) weren't also okay to sacrifice? There's no way I could trust someone like that, and I definitely wouldn't want to work with them either.

A great battle is going to be fought soon. What, if anything, do you do to prepare for it? Try to focus on being stronger and getting some more training in before the battle starts. Being in the best condition would definitely be an advantage, I think!

Eventually, your exploits become known and you're now a respected figure in society. How do you plan on using this influence, if at all? I honestly wouldn't use it (much). O_O; That's just not something that would appeal to me in the slightest.

(Optional section)
Have you played this game? If so, did you like it? No, but I really want to!
(As it relates to this game's spiritual predecessor and is an unseen factor here) Which D&D-type alignment would you say fits you best? Neutral Good, probably.
Are there any characters you don't want to get? Not that I can think of! Thank you for taking the time to vote. :)

I can see several characters working here, actually, but ... I think in the end I'm going to go with Shianni. You come across as a very vital character, which she is - she's very determined to make things better for the city elves, and she won't shut up about it even if it hurts her. But she's also necessarily untrusting, I think, precisely because of the nature of the way elves are treated in the Dragon Age world. She's aggressive if there's a goal she's shooting for, but at the same time I don't think she's the sort of person to go around picking fights without just cause - in game, when she objects to something, her fears are usually well-founded. As an elf, she'd definitely agree with you on not wanting to be taken advantage of. She's also independent in the same way that you are - she can take care of herself, but she hates feeling like she's relying on others.

Leliana is the character I kept on thinking of throughout this (minus the whole hearing voices aspects of her character, of course), particularly if you choose to renew her faith. She's quite determined when she puts her mind towards something and enjoys helping people, and while she is usually willing to give someone a chance, she doesn't fully trust people at first. She refuses to tell you part of her background initially, and out of the party members, you have to get her approval rating the highest if you want to have a relationship with her... and considering how she was hurt in the past by those closest to her, it's not a stretch to guess it's not just due to the chantry bit. She expresses a bit of indecisiveness at times as well, which actually leads to the reason why the main character can influence her character growth to a degree. While I wouldn't describe her as unforgiving (though she was in her past to a degree, at least in the DLC where you get to play through her background), if someone does hurt her, she is incapable of remotely trusting them ever again. While she isn't one of the more humor focused characters, she is prone towards being sarcastic at times, especially when asked silly questions by Alistair.

While not super hyper outgoing or anything, she tends to be more talkative than most of the characters once you actually bring up a subject she's interested in. She's normally quite calm, but gets excited by cute things... and, while she does have quite a lot of emotions, she normally keeps them bottled up unless she trusts the other person enough. She prefers to follow, but can lead if she wants to, as seen in one of her possible epilogue endings. ... and despite the whole chantry aspect, she's not really that traditional. In fact, she frequently proposed ideas that the other members of her chantry disliked as they weren't "standard." She also seems to love to experience new things, both in her past and in the present... and that's evident in a different epilogue of hers. I can easily see her letting the bandits go for the same reason, as well as refusing to let the power hungry person get away with what they're planning.

Though now that's it's mentioned, I really like the Shianni vote as well. Her type of determination and independence are more obvious, likewise with her mistrust (which has plenty of valid reasons behind it) and tendency to be unforgiving. She is incredibly loyal and helpful though, as it appears her main goal is to make life better for everyone in what is essentially "the poor part of town where the minorities are forced to live." She's realistic, outwardly confident, and tends to hide her emotions without being stoic. (i.e. She "softens" what happens to her in the City Elf origin story to most of the characters in order to avoid having them fuss over her.)

... what is it with me and double votes today

I want to go with Shianni. She's reluctant to rely on others due to mistrust (and with the way elves are treated, you can hardly blame her). She's very loyal to the few she does trust, though. But when it comes to everyone else, she's not going to be as forgiving. Gah, I'm failing at describing her. What I'm trying to get at is her wariness around those she doesn't know or trust.

The first character that came to mind was Wynne.

She's considered a "motherly" character in that she tries to help and/or advise others (particularly the main character and Alistair). You state that you're helpful/loyal to those that you care for and/or respect. Wynne values compassion. You sound similar, especially in your answer to the bandit question. Tell them to provide for their families more honorably in the future, yet give them food if you're able to spare it? Yeah, very her. (Another example would be how you answered the powerful ally question. I highly doubt she'd want such an ally if said ally planned to sacrifice others). I could also see many of your "Are you more..." answers working for her. In addition, she does strike me as the kind of woman who could be Neutral Good from the sound of her personality. I also see her as a more determined duty-focused individual as opposed to a fun-focused one.

Ah, well...after reading up on both their characters--I could honestly see where both the Shianni and Leliana votes are coming from (I could see some Wynne too at times {along with perhaps some Alistair}, but certain aspects of her personality that I know about from shamelessly reading spoilers, lolz has me somewhat hesitant to vote her).

The reasoning behind the Leliana vote was described wonderfully by the_404_error so I'm not entirely sure there's much to add there: she can be determined and stubborn, likes helping people without feeling like she's been taken advantage of, can be rather independent at times, can be somewhat sarcastic with her sense of humor, and isn't completely open with others until she has reached a point where she feels she can be comfortable around them and trusts them more. I could see her in how you answered the "Are You More..." section rather well from what I know about her character, and I imagine she probably would perhaps have the same reactions you did to the power-hungry ally and bandit scenarios too. She also seems to be curious about experiencing new things as well.

As for Shianni, well a lot of the reasoning as to why I was thinking of her has also been covered rather excellently already but I'll try to go into it more here too. She's a very determined and independent character in many ways, and she is not afraid to speak her opinion if she feels she is in the right or something needs to be said. She has quite a few trust issues for very understandable reasons given what happens to her in the game and how elves are treated in the Dragon Age world, but once a character has proven themselves to be somewhat more trustworthy somehow (such as even a non-City Elf Grey Warden who happens to release her cousin from jail)...she softens up at least a little bit though she might not completely trust them still due to what has happened in the past. And she is incredibly loyal and helpful to those she cares for (such as her cousin or the City Elf Grey Warden). Her goal is to make life better for City Elves, and she is determined in that goal--and as such she's a rather helpful person in many ways. She isn't picking fights without a cause either, and likes having a choice and freedom in what she does. Considering her background and goals in the game...I could see her sharing your thoughts on becoming a Grey Warden, and having similar reactions to your own in regards to the power-hungry ally and the bandit scenarios too. I could even perhaps see Shianni being described as falling into the Neutral Good alignment as well. :D

While reading through your app I keep thinking of Wynne. You seem to care for people and want to help others. Your dislikes make me think of her as well, with not liking people who are mean (she leaves the party if the main character isn't considering people's feelings). She also comes to mind when I read your answers to how you'd handle the bandits as well as your ally that's used you to gain power.

Leliana. While you're mostly strong-minded, determined and tough, you do have a gentle side, laidback side too.
